TULSA, OK — Bolstered by a line of over 100 enthusiastic Simple Simon’s Pizza fans that began gathering before dawn, Simple Simon’s Pizza’s newest location in Berryhill, OK enjoyed one of the strongest opening days in the company’s history this past week.
Fans of the venerable Oklahoma-based pizza brand began lining up at 3:00 a.m. Thursday in response to a month-long social media campaign focused primarily on Facebook posts. Dozens of customers were lined completely around the building by the time the doors opened at 11:00 a.m.
As part of the opening-day festivities, the first 100 customers were rewarded with oversized “Free Pizza For A Year” gift cards, good for one large single-topping pizza per week for 52 weeks.
“We knew there was a lot of anticipation about this store, based on the activity on our Facebook page and by how many people were ‘sharing’ the news about our opening on their own pages”, said Simple Simon’s Pizza Executive Vice President of Operations Dustin Miles. “It’s fantastic to see such a great turnout by so many people who are really excited to now have Simple Simon’s Pizza in Berryhill.”
Many of those who visited the store were impressed with the amazing reclamation job performed on the building, which had previously housed another casual dining brand before closing years ago and falling into disrepair.
“Each of our corporate Simple Simon’s Pizza locations represents a distinct layout and design concept available to our franchisees, and the new Berryhill store is no exception,” said J&H Foods CEO B.J. DuMond. “This location is a great example of how a franchisee can take an existing structure and ‘Simon-ize It’, using our step-by-step guidelines during the build-out.”
“We’re very proud that the new Berryhill store is not only a great showcase for our brand, it’s also a welcome addition to the retail landscape in the surrounding community,” DuMond said.
The Berryhill store continued its strong opening-day performance over the weekend, as customers were treated to all their favorites on the Simple Simon’s menu, including “The Original Calizone” and the brand’s iconic Supreme Pizza.
For dine-in customers, the store features a large pizza and salad buffet for lunch Sunday through Friday, and a Family Night Buffet on Tuesday evenings. Customers can utilize the convenient drive-thru window for picking up call-in orders and orders placed online via either their desktop or laptop computers, or through the Simple Simon’s Pizza app for Android or Apple mobile devices.
